My Role: As the lecturer for these courses , my role was to develop and teach the full curriculum, guide students through project development , and mentor them through to final presentations. I focused on integrating real-world practices into the classroom, ensuring students were well-prepared for the industry.

Teaching Methods in Action

Practice-Based Learning: I use project-based learning to bridge theory and practice, giving students hands-on experiences that simulate real-world fashion scenarios. For instance, the “Schiaparelli Fragrance Launch” and “PR New Collection Launch Event Proposal” projects require students to research a brand, develop a creative concept, and produce a comprehensive professional proposal. These proposals include brand history, a press release, and detailed event planning, giving students insight into the complete workflow of fashion marketing and PR campaigns.

Example 1: Research & Analysis: The “Marketing Mix Report LOEWE” is a key exercise in teaching strategic thinking. Students analyze a major luxury brand by examining its identity, target market, and sustainability efforts. This project emphasizes critical research skills and analytical thinking, helping students understand how global brands operate and make strategic decisions.

Example 2: Foundational Skills: I also focus on core design and styling concepts through targeted assignments. In the “Color Complement Assignment,” students explore fundamental color theory to inform design and styling choices. Similarly, the “Styling Analysis (Dove Cameron)” teaches students to evaluate body types, styling techniques, and outfit composition for specific occasions. These exercises strengthen foundational skills that are essential for any professional in fashion communication and styling.
