In an editorial series titled “Batik Beyond Borders,” we present a transformative vision of fashion that transcends traditional boundaries. Often seen as traditional attire, the batik longyi is reimagined here in a unisex, androgynous style, symbolizing a shift towards gender equality and social justice.

Fashion has always been a powerful medium for self-expression and societal reflection. In “Batik Beyond Borders,” androgynous fashion challenges conventional gender norms, promoting a narrative where clothing is free from the constraints of gender.
